Me.
As with TT, buggy, directional, skateboard,Rip stick, (thats hard your weak side) I strive to be as close to the same both ways, and will say am close.
Almost to the extent that having done a TT jump kite loop, will do one the other way the very next run!
Same flying KBHF, goofy toeside kite down turn jibe next run regular toeside kite down turn ect...
Really like to make sure and do what I can both ways EACH session like for example the four stance slalom, four basic flying stance change, ect...
I know many guys who are VERY assym and get even worse each session only doing what they do well not working the weaker side.
To each his own!

Since the very beginning when I started kiting (only a few sessions on a twin tip and then surfboard) I am trying to do everything in the same way, no matter which foot is forward. Same with hydrofoiling since day one. I can carve, turn heel to toe or toe to heel and play with waves frontside and backside with right and left foot forward.

Of course some manoeuvres are more refined with one or the other foot forward but I constantly try to improve. For that reason I do a lot of stretching exercises and also I ride regularly a Ripstick-waveboard where I concentrate and find the tiny differences in my stance and riding and I try to correct them.

I am actually better at KBHF on my "weak" side. My turns are quicker, my board control is better at speed, and I do maneuvers better. My best guess as to why is that I'm still unlearning over 10 years of twin tip habits on my dominant side.

I am as good or as bad on both side :) TT, surf or hydrofoil i feel no difference. Turning to toe side or heel side, riding toe side, jumping, wave catching, etc.... To be honest and strangely there is one move that i do only in one side and this is riding blind on a TT but since i only do HF now i consider myself ambidextrous foiler ;)

I am, meaning just as bad on both sides :naughty:

On a surfboard I am regular, but on a kite waveboard or windsurfing I ride both sides equally bad, maybe even my non natural side a bit better at least more elegant, as we got more wave spots on this side here (same side as Capetown) so you get better at your "weak" side, and eventually it becomes your good side :thumb:

Hydrofoiling when learning new things I am better on one side for a long time till learned, but not a.clear pattern which side so would say it does not matter much.

Definitely not symmetrical no, but try to work more on the weak sides, so a lot of work ha haa

I am natural footed but I prefer wave kiting goofy frontside probably because the bar is in my right hand. I am just learning to foil and prefer goofy for the same reason. I find starting natural difficult as by habit I put my right foot on the board first and you can't do that on a foilboard.
