Not enough redundancy for me. You can keep your one bolt design.

Not possible strapless, ...

Trying to understand- What exactly are you referring to?
I did not get it or doubt that it is the case.

I am referring to having a big board (both volume and area), necessary for really light winds, and a long mast, starting in shallow waters (less than your mast length) having the mast tilted and getting up without hitting the bottom.
In this situation it is sometimes possible to start in the shallows, looping the kite, keeping the board on its side, and when having straps, it is way way easier to do this, especially if you need several loops on a huge foilkite.
Strapless on a really big board, it is almost not possible to do this, at least extremely difficult - and you will normally get up on the board first, and from here pump while you loop and get going - but this requires just a tad more depth, than if you can start with board on its side, in maybe multiple loop attempts to find the right gust and time to get "up and going" even if shallow :naughty:

In the utmost marginal conditons though, it is not even possible on a strapped board on its side, as you NEED the volume/area, and to stand with mast vertical, to get sufficient max lift

If so much (still light) wind, that you can start on a smaller board tilted on its side, you can do it strapless too, indeed - but I would say you can not do this when closer to the utmost lower limit.

Thanks for explanations. I guess I have not been in this exact situation.
