Alright then, Ill just take my judgment elsewhere!
I had the same thought that you did, but it sounds like some places are well set up for kite rescues in offshore winds.
The unwritten rule at all of our local beaches is: If it is blowing offshore, you just don't go out. But we don't have any sort of kite specific rescue boat system in place.
It makes sense that schools and rental places would have these, since they can always set up in the same place, regardless of wind direction.
Same rule for us, its just not done. Far too big a risk on big water and cold. We do have some beaches with very good boat rescue during the warm seasons due to being so close to Toronto and I think sometimes gives the lifeguards something to do. Of course some guys are frequent riders.....others never (touch wood).

It's so important when you go on holiday to ensure you don't have it ruined if the winds are offshore and there's no suitable rescue cover that is on the spot and funded by the guys who sail there, as only the very stupid who would dare risk thier lives and venture out on a Foil board, the distance we can cover on them is huge,
Windsurfers are generally ok if they stay close inshore as they can paddle back if fit and able, but still unwise.
This last 11days at Flag Beach have been so unusual, all offshore winds, most used kite my 8mtr for 6 days, 2 days on my 6mtr, 1 day on my 12mtr and 2 days were so windy rescue cover was not available (1 of these days I went to Matas bay and the waves so massive they wisely closed down rescue services) and I don't own a 4mtr anyways.
My current foil quiver is: 17m R1V2, 15m Chrono UL V2 (now for sale, not needed anymore), 11m R1V2 and Hyperlink 7m.
In the winter we dont have the thermal wind, so its not really predictable, better come in the spring/summer where you can kite everyday if you own a R1V2 17 or 19m

So your quiver is 17m R1V2, 11m R1V2 and hyperlink 7m. Those are big gaps.
All on Hydrofoil?
I'm searching for place to kite Hydrofoil in winter that is as close as possible to Sweden.
Spring summer fall is OK up here.
It seems that my 18+ knots problem is solved, just came out of a session with 20-25 knots on the hyperlink 7m with 17m lines and i could have been in more wind. Super stable, constant pull and insane upper wind range. The only thing i still dont like is to launch this kite, it always go up with the wingtips colapsed which is annoying, with the R1V2 this doesnt happen anymore.
I’m reviving this old thread to seek advice on a higher wind LEI kite.
I have a 5m Pivot, which will cover me up to probably about 20kn (I haven’t had the opportunity to test the high end, but that is my best guess). I am looking for something for those 20kn+ days.
I’m considering an Ozone Uno 4m or 2.5m. My question is this—I have tendon issues in my arms and I need kites with minimal bar pressure. Has anyone flown an Uno and can give me their review, including an evaluation of the bar pressure?
I wish the Uno came in 3m size, because I fear the 5m to 4m gap is too narrow but the 5m to 2.5m gap is too far.
I’m also looking at a 3m Switch Element. Any opinions on that?
Anything else I should be considering in the 4-3m range?
