Looks very nice! I've always liked the DB skims. This would be great for travel and riding in shallow water without the foil. Does it still float even in freshwater? Reason I ask is I've seen one where mast filled with water and sank never to be seen again. I sealed my ZEEKO mast

I sealed my mast and also ride fresh water. It has a double thick deck pad so floats well, but is still quite low profile in the water. Black would be hard to spot in certain conditions. I rarely lose track of the board anymore, but at one stage when first learning to get clear on crashes, it was nice to have the bright green. They were super cool when I phoned to check a few options before ordering. Namely the rigid construction and double thick pad. The guy was straight up and said that drilling it will void the warranty, which I was cool with. The rigid construction is nice and stiff and holds a bit more rocker. Have had over a season on it with no wear or visible stress.

Not light. 8 lbs. Same as a skate. Skate/skim are generally dedicated strapless set ups. Swing weight is more important than overall weight. Short is agile.
I started on a 6' 1" board that weighs the same. The skim is 3' 7" and it makes all the difference in the world.

Done!
Good first session on it in pretty choppy conditions.
It floats well, it's yellow and visible, and the pad is super comfy, and it's easy to get your feet locked in the right spots.
116x43, so has a little bit of surface area in the touchdowns.
Fits in a mall car all mounted, fits the bill!

Wasnt it quite difficult to ride - I mean with the nose, tail and the direction the foil points?.. Seems a bit odd that you could get on it, or?..

That Zeeko front wing and stab look the wrong way round, maybe I need to get out more!
very confusing, it makes my eyes cross.

Sure, the Spitfire design is different, unconventional, different in a good way!
Another session today on flat water/9m, and it felt really good. That deck is really comfy!
