How do you go out in those temps without hoodie or gloves?????
Years of practice, and technique, and being a true viking, born and raised here in the land of vikings
Have you seen Casper a few days ago ?
An awesome feat and shows what can be done, my full respect

Just teasing, but maybe there is something to it, being a viking

Hi Frank,
What are you riding Ozone Hyperlink on 15m lines? Looks nice!
In those two videos it is the 7m Hyperlink on 7m lines.
Currently I am mostly using the following setups:
HL 5m - 7m lines
HL 7m - 7m lines
HL 9m - 10m lines
HL 12m - 10m lines
R1 17m - playing with 10m, 12m and 14m lines at the moment
R1 19m - 14m and 18m lines
Not to be completely off topic I attached some pics.
Amazing how today 1°C water and 5-6°C air temperature felt comfortable to hang out on the beach a bit longer.
Cheers,
Frank

These are just great shots Frank !!!
I always love pictures instead of video and links to pictures, as they are so "spot on right in your face" this way, says more than a thousand words and video, you can FEEL these so much more
What about Sweden and Norway and Finland, there must be lots of "winter" pictures ? Or only the old boards, no hydrofoils ?

You Scandinavians are LUNATICS
. If I lived in that climate I would take up a different sport - something that involved being indoors and a fireplace. Massive respect for managing to get out in those conditions and becoming as good as you are at HF'ing. I'll never complain about my below 20 degrees Perth winter conditions again
.

Wow really short lines. Looked very compact, now I understand why.
Is this a race set-up or also freeride. Is downlooping still possible with the 10m & 12m sizes with those short lines?
Again looks really great!

Freeriding only really.
For racing I would actually go a little longer probably.
Downlooping has to be possible for me, so yes, possible on all setups mentioned.
At least while riding. A loop to waterstart might be impossible with the 17m R1 on 10m lines though, but while riding it works.
Cheers,
Frank
