Nice to see the 3D stab, cool
In my experiences it is personal taste, just like a windsurf waveboard where some like really small twinzer fins so it becomes skaty and loose, others like a regular fin that gives more drive in the bottom turns and on the wave and better "hold" when pushed hard.
The same happens on a kitefoil, if you have a really small and flat horizontal stabilizer, it will be really loose and more twitchy, but also lively and can be fun.
With a stab (or a horizontal stab with upswept tips same thing) you get a much more driving feel both when going straight and particularly when turning, which feels quite good, especially if you are a windsurfer (or ex).
Personally I have found a compromise I use more than the other (eventhough I change stabilizers to one or the other style), too big and "steady" is not as playful, and too small (say flat and no stab) doesnt feel right to me, too twitchy and slides without drive somehow.
