Yeah, you need to be bigger to make the bigger wings work. So long as they're not sea anchors ...
I'd call for reverse dependency - you might want a bigger wing if you're a heavier guy but unless the foil is completely out of tune a ligter person should be able to ride any foil size.
Unfortunately I haven't seen same foil wing in different sizes available yet but it'll come when manufacturers settle experimenting with geometry. By then we all might be riding monofoil/stabless with swept back wing attached directly to the mast
The only friend I have seen have trouble getting range from a surf foil, was a footstrap cripple. He could not put his feet where they needed to be. And there was no convincing him to ditch the straps.

Gong G10 wings and stabs come in three sizes.
If am right they are scaled versions of exactly the same design...
I mounted the biggest one to my Moses foil(fuselage). Very nice and affordable bigger sized wing.

Like this?
That's kitefoil (580?), 720 and 920 and there's now an 820, plus 1020 and 1120 were in the works...
Yeah little guys can ride the "big" wings fine (so long as they scale down their kites!) but for little guys who like carving around, they don't like how stable the wings are or the effort needed to throw them around. That's what I mean by "making them work".
For me, going down in size has the same result in the opposite -- they get too twitchy and stall too soon. 920 was a bit too stable for fun, the 820 is on the edge of being too stable but the speed range and glide is better than the 720 (in my memory).
If speeding around in straight lines is your thing, big wings won't be.
Axis guys are going right thing. In addition to a standard, pretty plain aluminum mast and plate and somewhat flat simplistic wings they made a beautiful fuselage which stands out not only above aluminum setups but is also more elegant and probablynlighter than metal fuselages of carbon setups
Could the 2 of you share your experiences with the axis SUP/Surf range ?
Some Info on the 820 and 920 online , but nothing on the 720 anymore and the website also is not updated yet.
Looking for prone foil and wave-kitefoil wing to do both @ 80kg and the axis setup looks top notch, but without Information available it’s hard to validate a purchase.

What information do you want?
There's some data printed on the wing tips if you want area etc.
There's a facebook page for Axis foils -- https://www.facebook.com/axisfoils/ -- with some videos of people SUPing and surfing the foils.
But yeah, whoever is in charge of updating the website needs a rocket
Adrian himself is fond of the 720 for general kite (and SUP IIRC) tom foolery, so It may go back into production...
IMO the 920 was too stable and slow to be fun for me with a kite, and the 820 is a good match. A few locals have ridden my 820 and had a nice time ie. they didn't get constantly ejected so it must be nicely tuned
I have also ridden the GoFoil Kai a lot, and I have had great experiences on this. I haven't got to ride the Moses 633 setup, but it looks awesome, and I'm sure the hype is not for nothing.
I also think that big wings with small kites are the future for foiling in the waves, and I'm likely to be spending a lot of time on the KeNalu 775, which has a wing area of around 1500cm2. It's probably not too dissimilar from the Axis 820, though I've never had the chance to ride this.
