Foil on foil with Onda

Postby salvino » Sun Jul 22, 2018 1:32 am

I’ve been on my Onda for a month or so with small inflatables and loving it. Today wind was so light that I resorted to my chronic 13M V2. I had been reluctant to use this with 633 Onda as it seemed to be complete mismatch.

A quick turning board with a slow ass turning kite (no foil kite comparisons, blab last bla needed). This has seemed so incongruous that I have delayed pairing them.

Such a nice surprise! I could not believe the experience. The kite just sat up there and drifted while I carved, surfeddown swell no handed for long periods of time, and then ripped back upwind when wanted. Once the timing of steering came back, the tacks were thrilling. With loops to finish! It was a surreal experience. I came off water not understanding fully what had just happened.

I want more!

I still love quick flying kites, especially with surfy foil as I really enjoy looping and making the kite dance as part of the experience. But today has blown me away. There is more to explore. For sure!
