Just like this

That’s awesome.

I have an SUV and no kids, so I just lay the back seats down and throw the assembled board/foil on its side in the back. Until changing boards recently, I probably went a year without taking the mast off.

2 months ago I had a Range Rover Evoque,
not great for all the gear, and not great to get changed in, when needed.

Went to buy the new large Peugeot 5008, and had my head turned when at the garage, I found parked next to the 5008,a new Peugeot Traveller, a rather posh luxury people carrier for 8 persons, the 6 seats in the rear were all on tracks and all removable.
it was a no brainer, as the Traveller was top of the range with all the extras and a 180 bhp engine, and only a few thousand pounds more than the new 5008.
So now my three boards and all equipment fit in with masts in place if needed, and its still configured as a 5 seater with loads of space, and the bonus is that i can use it as a camper as the rear space is over 6.6inch long and very wide.
I got a £150 refund on my insurance, and get more Mpg.

downside is the extra road tax for 5 years as the rrp was over 40k.
£450 each year for 5 years then £150/year,
tax for the rich,
only I am not rich!
Bugger!

Roof rack and bungies. If longer trip, rope up to fuse and down.

You've been kiting for just two years and you are riding a full-blown foil? Congratulations! Took me several years just to stay upwind. Pretty soon we will have folks learning to kite with a foil from the get go.

I just hope you don't forget that it is up there one day.

Good practice i’ve learned when putting gear on roof is never set it up there without tying it down immediately, whether it’s a foil, canoe, or hang glider.

I have clipped a couple tree leaves on the way in to parking lot.

Just like Evan. I get out of the car, pull out my kite, put on my harness/lifejacket, pull out hydrofoil, walk to beach, unroll kite, unroll lines, ride away. 10 mins TOPS if I'm slow and careful.
Hate you :P :D
You get lazy if you kite every evening

I don't unbolt anything... Fits straight in.
That's a Citroen C3, with the back seats folded down. SpitFire is good for transport as there is no protruding stab at the back.

Otherwise, for most of my sessions, the car is out of the picture.
Put wetsuit/harness/sunscreen, take gear, walk to the beach, unroll lines, pump kite, connect and ride away.
Typically less than 10 minutes between decision to go kiting and actually hitting the water. No mucking around!

I have always done a full pack down between each session. All the gear fits neatly into it's bag and slots into the car.

When I started I had Liquid Force piece-of-shit foil with 13 bolts. At 30 seconds a bolt that's 7 minutes. Now I have a beautiful J Shapes full carbon kit. 4 bolts at 30 seconds a bolt is 2 minutes. Add a couple of minutes for wiping down and putting stuff in the case. It's still barely 5 minutes.

The board is 120cm and goes across the back seat on the floor. It's shorter than my TTs. The seat is vacant. The board bag marks the leather upholstery so I put it on the flooor. I could put it on its nose and have space for two people in the back.

Wetsuits, pump, bar and harness go in the plastic tub. I can fit 3 kites (5,7,10m) comfortably next to the tub. There's plenty of space for the 15.5 if I take that.

Two masts go across the back and the two foil/fuselage combinations slot in on top. There's heaps of room for more kites, a paraglider, passengers or other stuff.

I guess it takes 5 minutes tops from arriving at the beach to being pumped up, foil assembled to being out riding. The biggest time waster is chatting to the guys about conditions and gear and stuff.

I use to put it on my roof racks until I almost destroyed it at a KFC drive through...

Now i detach the mast and throw that in the back seat with the fusealage and wings connected and slip the board also across the back seat on an angle.
