Hi
Im new to foiling and still positive about it, hoping for a not too long learning curve
I just got a new hydrofoil with board, Vorace 101 with a 558 wing, 330 stab and a the board is a Groove kiteboard.
First time out I was at a hydrofoil course and got to try the onda 633 with a 60cm mast.
After 2 hours of crashing I could sometimes foil around 20 - 30 meters with a bit of dolphin effect. not very stable but atleast I got positive about foiling.
Now on my current gear, 101 with w558 I found it a bit hard to learn, though the only time Ive tried I was underpowered so it never really worked.
Im thinking about getting a w590 wing since its a wing that should help me to learn faster and hopefully I would get rid of 5 -10 sessions of crashing and be more at the state of riding around unstable at first and then slowly getting it.
I have never tried the 590. How is a 590 compared to a 558 wing? is there a big difference?
The onda seems to be a very good wing but I dont think I can spend another 800 euros for the stab and fuselage+wing.
However is the Onda the ultimate wing to learn on? far easier then the 590?
Special idea:
Have anybody tried to get the onda attatched to the normal kite fuselage with a big shim and long screws?(attatching 2 holes only) could that be an idea or just stupid?
I guess that with my experience of trying the onda I could just go for a 590 and it would be easy enough to continue with.
Whats your experience?
Thanks!
