I have 3 customers riding Sonic 2's now and they all say the same thing regarding the improved stability over the Sonic 1's. All hydrofoil racers in the local scene as well as taking part in the hydrofoil pro tour which is in my home town of Perth later this month. No wingtip issues being reported, all happy campers on the new kit.

Sonic2 15m is the easiest kite I've ever flown, foil or SLE. That is all.

No, but I was at a regatta this weekend and it was prrtty clear from the guys on Diablos that theyre a bit more prone to tip collapse. Still awesome kites, but I think Flysurfer hit a home run with the sonic2.

How is the bar pressure compared to other foil kites?

Do you still get tip tuck though? What basically ruined my 11m Sonic FR and I'm wary to get the 2.

Interesting. There are 3 of us that have diablos and no tip tuck issues at all. 3 others have flysurfers v1 and v2 sonics and this weekend I saw the v2 have plenty of tip tuck issues.

About the same. The kite depowers more in the same bar travel than its predecessor, making the wind range larger in my opinion.

Neither I nor Dave saw any examples of tip tuck at all. It also doesn't need to be sheeted in and out as much to get it to breath, basically just sheet and go.

Okay...good for you? Two of us were riding the Sonic2's this weekend in 15m and 13m and the kite performed flawlessly. I'm not bashing Diablos AT ALL, they're world-championship winning kites, but at a regatta with 40 entrants this weekend there were plenty of little issues, especially the version 2's.
