Pansh Kite aurora II 12 m2 Ultralight...just a disaster !!

Postby megerwan » Wed May 10, 2017 6:34 pm

Hello

I owned a aurora 15 m2 that I funalexed and it was slow but great !!

then I sold it and purchased a aurora II 12 m2 ULtralight as I m now foiling , and then.... just a disaster :

- as soon as the Kite is not under wind pressure (during jibe or downwind, even at the zenith if you don't pull the bar) , the kite is quite immediately unstable and folding/collapsing....
- i check the bar configuration, lines tuning, briddles... reviewed all the settings with friends in order to have other feedbacks.
and nothing makes it works.

also the stitching marks of the bridles brokes ones after the others. (and honnestly, I was not doing strange things or crashing the kite on the sand !!)

I sent multiples mails to Pansh asking to receive the size of the briddles in order to check my briddles , asking them about their briddles V2 ( see their comment below)....
BUT NO ANSWER !!

So at the end of the day, I have a kite that I cannot use at all. Thanks Pansh !!

Attention:
Beginning March 1, 2017, the Aurora II ultra light version upgraded to V2.0 version already. PANSH started to send the Aurora II ultra light version out beginning this date. The bridles system is mainly upgraded on the V2.0 version of Aurora II ultra light. It completely prevents the snap of the bridles under the certain extremely bad conditions. A commitment of PANSH, if there is any damage or snaps caused by non user’s reason; PANSH will provide free replacement or refund service.

The aurora II ultra light 15 meter seems to fly great, even under gusty conditions or depowered, holds its shape well, don't get wing folds too easily either. I haven't tried the aurora II ultra light in 12m but was thinking of getting it. Sad news if there are problems with it. But it's not too expensive even if it's not that good. Good luck fixing us and keep us up to date on the kite.

this is not expensive , sure ,but there I cannot use it cause it's really unstable. so it's still clearly too expensive for a kite staying in your garage !!
and Pansh's support is ....inexistant !!

Seems like a common story. Sometimes when you put mine in a slot machine, more money comes out. Most of the time - no.

My aurora v2 light 15m was great out of the bag in light wind, but I used it with a big TT board and no hydrofoil.
I made a rapid slack line test on the beach and it holded correctly its shape.

Maybe there fabrication tolerances are too large. I hope Pansh will support you rapidly because indeed there is no need being cheap if it is not usable. So sorry for you.

If you used paypal you should be able to put in a claim. Since Pansh doesn't respond to emails (unless they concern a future purhase) you may get your money back, minus shipping.

Let us know how it goes, I have a kite on order from them also.

Woah, mine shipped on March 2, hope it ended up with the upgrades... my bridles are yellow, yours looked white?

Judging from the picture, I am guessing it flies well?
