Pansch also has a Lotus cloth equivalent. I have that in a 22m Aurora 2 which flys well. Last time I had it out, the wind died and it sat on the water for at least five minutes before it came up again. It relaunched to problem.
Pansch quality control is reportedly a bit sketchy, but you can't beat the price.

True, but the lotus cloth on the sonic 2 would be your best bet I think. If you can lay it on its back (the top skin which is made of lotus cloth) it really doesn't hold any water at all in the fabric.

Thanks Davesails7 , Flysurfer is on top of my list . I can't wait to see how is going to be the new canopy Flysurfer is currently experimenting . I hope we'll see it very soon .

When I discovered how floaty was the HP , I started dreaming about a 15 meters and up with a similar fabric could become drift launchable . Eventhough I would have to pre-inflate it , this could add many goods kiting days . I understand that a wet 18 kite could be a nightmare to launch , can't stop a sailor to dream .... :o
