smaller Frenzys like any small foil kites are/were for sure better and more usable.
I flew only the small ones , (don't need much kite in 25Kt wind) with
land buggy ; it would explain why i liked them ?

For sure smaller sizes are different. And I'm not saying kite like old Frenzy is totally bad kite. Some like slow kites which sit deep in the WW and have high bar pressure. I prefer different kind of kites and I am glad to see also Frenzy has evolved to more for what I like.

I have 7 and 9 meters Blizzard and I like them very much . Very stable kites , handle gusty and shifty winds very well . The fifth line is a game changer , I still ride a Chrono V2 UL 11 and R1V2 17 but I really miss the fifth line when I use them . I did switch the bars on my Blizzards , I use now a 55cm on the 9 meters and 50cm on the 7 meters , they turn faster this way . Amazing kites , I wonder why it took so long to get this fifth line ....

With R1, Chrono and Hyperlink it's difficult to see a point for a dedicated snow kite, apart from for marketing reasons, unless I'm missing something...

Looks like Stefarius' video above sums up why alpine snowkiters might prefer a Blizzard.

Packing up a closed cell kite high in mountain can be sketchy. Your closed cell wing will keep airfoil-form and not necessary have any anchor point for bar to go and grab the kite. I'd not roll lines to bar with high performance closed cell kite bouncing on ground, high wind and ridge (wind going upwards mountain). Low in the valley you have 10kn wind and high at the top 30kn. Packing is required if you want to freeride down without kite pulling you.

Open cell will lose wing shape more and 5th line can even compress the kite like accordion. Like Blizzard seems to do. Also FS Peak3 has compression.

Sure all kites can be used at mountains but you need to consider all aspects. Packability? Wind range? Loop radius?...

I didn’t actually notice the earlier vid, but if it’s about open vs closed cell then Hyperlink is both is it not?

Looks like a frenzy too me. Ozone do this all the time. Rename the existing kites calling them something different. Truth is its just a next generation frenzy.
