My understanding is that Ozone Kites operates a “just in time” (JIT) business model and manufactures goods as required, resulting in “zero” surplus stock sitting on the shelf.
I have never paid the full RRP, nor have purchased goods online, always telephone the dealer to see what they can do for you.

I don't really get how this is supposedly an issue with Ozone? Current costs of high performance foil kites:
Ozone Chrono V2 15m complete: £2140 (R1 V2 £2600)
Flysurfer Speed 5 15m £1995 (Sonic 2 FR £2375)
North Ace 15.5m £2370
F-one Diablo V3 15m £2775

Doesn't seem to be a massive difference between different brands. Few if any of them are available on special offers / sale. In general I think due to the high cost they are made in small numbers and generally to order, rather than in larger production runs. This seems pretty sensible to me and presumably avoids potentially damaging losses to relatively (in international terms) small companies. Compared to other products, companies producing kitesurfing kites are manufacturing lowish numbers of high value items so it seems only sensible to try and avoid over-producing and then having to sell products off cheap.

I think you can't compare a Chrono V2 or V3 with R1, Sonic or Diablo which are all constructed with much higher effort, which you can count not only, but most easily by number or cells.

And how many normal customers have bought an Ace or an Diablo V3? I think together much much less than Chrono V2.

But most important: This was not about pricing of V2, but V3 which is even without bar higher than old rtf price. But first lets see how it flies, what people are saying who have tried it.

And to all who have already flown V3 and HL: I am still interested in HL 5 m² and therefore in difference and advantage of HL compared to V3.

....I still think Ozone is making a mistake, at least in my case......
That is not Ozone's concern.

I feel you on the emotional argument and I feel very much the same way - I would love to have some "Chrono 2's"! I would be more weary of the "Chrono 3's" since I have not flown them and am distrustful of "new and improved" when the last one was perfect.

But there are 2 ways for a kite company to make money - be high end or low end. Even if quality is no better for companies considered "high end", they still have to stick to that strategy for the reasons in my previous post.

Again, Ozone really does not care if you can't afford their kites. Actually, you and I both contribute to upholding Ozone's market strategy to be desired (high end), but still too expensive for us to purchase. We are pimping up Ozone gear and haven't even given them money.

Price inflation to get better kite deflation! Ok, there's more to it than that....

So Gunnar - is it faster turning than V2? If so how much?

Hard to put a number on turning speed, but its a lot more reactive. Look at it this way. In the videos I was flying the 13m on my 45cm Bar.
