Hi folks,
Has anyone replaced the depower strap/adjuster on an older FS bar before? I'm coming to do this just now on a Psycho2 and haven't found an instruction for the knots are used - the strap comes with plastic tube locators for the depower line but it looks like the previous owner has just tied a couple of half hitches round this. I've asked FS but had only a partial response. I could just batter in with what I think is right but I'd rather know the original solution.

IIRC it was a reverse bowline made up so there was only a very small loop through the attachment to the trimmer with bars before the infinity bar.

After infinity bar ( two lines through the bar) the two lines go though the tubing in the strap in opposite directions and tied with a square knot.
For a bowline in Amsteel, I have always tied an overhand knot in the bitter end to try to prevent the knot from pulling out. I don't believe FS ever did this but its been so long my memory may be inaccurate.
