Standard is 21m. Everyone is using shorter lines for HF these days so I imagine 17m would be fine.

.
My Soul 15 is in the mail as I write and can't wait. For the "too LEI like" comment, I was wondering. For those who have gone from the Speed/Sonic to the Soul, is it really that different? Does that mean you don't bar out some during jumps and whatnot and keep the bar in like on LEIs? If so, that's going to take some time to get use to
The Soul is different from the Speed 5/Sonic 2 in the right ways, more stable and more direct steering. It is also like the Speed 5/Sonic 2 in the right ways, big air and floaty hangtime. You won’t be sorry with your new Soul 15. I steer the kite just like I would a Speed/Sonic on jumps.

I am 95 kg and riding the 12M with from 8-9 knots on a Razor, so I dont think you need a 15m for hydrofoil for 75 kg. In the video it is a Soul 15 M and looks like definitely less than 6 knots.

Be careful about short extracts. We can see that upwind of the island there is significant wind. Looking at the kite linear displacement speed (which is approx LD ratio mutliplied by wind speed) there is significant wind at some meters above the water. IMO the island provide a shelter and a kind of jumper to the wind above 10 meters.

Neihter nor...
The SOUL is a complete new product and more similar to a tubekite with higher barforces.
The SPEED5 stayes in program for lovers of light barforces and huge hangtime.
The SONIC is the high performance kite.

Although....having flown Speed and Soul I can’t imagine anyone choosing the former after they fly the Soul.
