I watched the official flysurfer soul pack down video and they dont seem to be too concerned about squashing / bending the plastic ribs.
On my Ozone Hyperlink i was always careful to concertina the ribs when packing away as you are warned that prolonged squashing can deform them.
What's the go Soul owners?

I don't think it's an issue. They don't feel particularly solid so it doesn't feel to me like I'm damaging them. Just roll it up from each end slowly. Main issue is in stronger winds it does like to keep its' air so you have to be patient!

I am not Soul owner but I've owned Flysurfer "rib-kites" since Speed4-10DLX was new (5 years). Never a problem with plastic ribs on pack down or deformation because of that. Just roll the kite. Only problem I hear (which is universal to all kites) if you land kite LE-first to sand/ice and wind rubs kite to surface = sanding the fabric.
Some other kite require carefull packdown because of CF ribs which needs to be carefully gathered together and not to bend.
Don't worry, Flysurfer kites are made for hard use..
And if your kite breaks with-in first 12 months - just use 12mon free-repair offered for Soul/Speed-series of kites with personal use..

I don't on my Hyperlink 9m UL, no problems at all. It's not in the bag more than a week at a time and I don't stack stuff on top of the bag though.
