Didn't realise the need for long flagout. Will have to check it.
My Sonic 2 13m must be 9 meters long!

Recently saw/handled the new Eleveight bar. That is very nice and adjustable 55-47cm in the big size.
Quality was superb.

The flysurfer bar is the worst I have experienced since my Naish AR5 in 2002. Awful!

For foil kite the front line safety moving range should be about the wing span of the kite. So lay your kite on the ground, move the bar to safety stopper knot and tension safety-side bridles. Check if other side bridles are lose. If not - kite will loop while on safety. For flagging out bridles cannot have any tension.
Thanks - makes sense. I heard that apart from the safety implications of not having a depowered kite when you;re in trouble, you can also destroy your kite too as bridals and fabric get mashed together.
Ugggh, I think I'll just get another Ozone bar but without the brake handle this time.

Problem with Click-bar is that it binds if you turn the kite which is IMO the worst thing in kite bars and foil kites like to be sheeted.
+1. I tried the Click bar for one session and the binding while looping was too much hassle.

During turns one side of the bar sheet in ( slowing this side of foil kite), the other sheet out (a little less slowing another side of foil kite) resulting in pivot turn easy seen on sonics.
Foilholio avoid it by grabbing steering line to turn. Another way could be to sheet bar out just enough to keep one side of the bar still when sheeting in the other.
Ideal would be the bar that makes it automatically.

Little off topic question for foil experts. Could I use back line as flag line? I dont use leash for many years just O shit handle on front line. I would be much cleaner and more user friendly to use/easy to reach. Carbon bar backline through bar oh shit handle / ball as in picture. Imo very clean bar setup
I was trying it just by holding it on beach by bridle and it looks fine - maybe little more rotation than front line - same drag. Only concern is if the back bridal is strong enough for this.

Sure you can attach leash to back line, but you can't rotate the bar any more..
