Adapting a front wing

I would like to ask if it is possible to adapt a front wing from one brand to another and what is the importance of the rear wing for general stability?.

It just occurred to me that it could save lot of money if I buy a secondhand wing and screw it into my old fuselage. In my case it would be a Moses Silente and a wing of ketos.

Any advice? Has anyone tried it?

If you are a glassing/carbon guru then is it is possible. If not. Don't do it. If you have to ask the answer is probably your not good enough.

Your biggest problem is the screw holes , if you redrill holes thru the wing you will weaken it a bit ( depending on how many holes you drill)

Next is getting the angle right , you need to place a piece of packaging tape on the fuselage ( to prevent them from sticking together) and then sploog the wing with a mix of cabosil, flox and epoxy to make a seat so that the wing seats nicely on the fuse

Some combos work , some don't

Does the mix end up stuck to the wing, changing its shape, or do you end up with a perfectly shaped shim?

Yea , the sploog will stick to the wing

If you want a shim that can be removed , then I'd tape both parts with packaging tape , wax both sides

I'd then lay a few layers of glass fiber onto each piece and then sploog in between the glass layers

Make sure you wax the bolts that assembles it together
