Hmmm,
I would question this approach guys. For a CNC manufacturing of G10 or other fiberglass products might be ok in an controlled environment.
But for a DIY at home (or around your home), this is not great. You'll be sanding a LOT of fiberglass, meaning a LOT of particles.
Carcinogen particles, they are. Is it worth it?
You might need only one single particle to breath in your lungs. Just like wood dust, whey fly in the air.
This is way more different than building a boards (which I've built heaps). I would not risk it. I even cut my carbon wings with a hand razor saw, which does NOT produce any fine sanding particles when cutting.
For me, it's not worth risking my life, particularly when I can build a wing with a minimal fuss and money...What you probably don't know, since not really shared as an fact in the sb manufacturing industry, is how many of our fellow board builders died of cancer. Lung cancer.
So, yeah, carbon all the way, with minimal sanding. If any.

G10 is not like asbestos....no mask needed..check the MSDS...that said I wear a dust mask anyways....

G10 is fiberglass in a type of epoxy resin. Not asbestos but epoxy dust is bad for you, and fiberglass is too. It does cause lung disease if you are exposed to enough.
But probably takes more than one particle...
I would use a good respirator for this if I did it.

A friend sent this link, discussion on safety concerns working with G10. Some differences of opinion, but the post near the end from gtxhawaii seems informative. Basically agreeing it is nowhere near as bad asbestos -- but it ain't good for you, wear a good mask for sure.
