Blanks arrived. They have extra length, thickness to work with. Machinery could not take smaller board.
5-0 x 470 . concave deck and bottom with dual concave up front.
Looking forward to shaping this weekend and trying to finish one before Feb 9.
Have some business trips before then too...

Why do you need wider than 44?.
It's a pocket board. So who cares ...
How much do you weigh ? I'm about 91-95kg ; depending on how
much i eat. I'm asking so i can get an idea of what size i need for
my weight ?

DANG Tom --
Wish Ya didn't live on the other side of the planet, because i'd ask you to shape a board
for a legless 91kg dude, and ship it to me, and i'd cover it with carbon myself. Actually
i'd cover it with 2 layers of 3oz fiberglass to stabilize the foam ; then mold it, and build
a hollow board, with skins & stingers, from (carbon, spectra / honeycomb) for 20% less weight,
but Way stronger than your foam core .

Your quite a good shaper !! :thumb:

Why thanks Bille.

Actually what you are looking at is a shape I did in Akushaper. It's longer and thicker than I originally planned because the machiner in UK couldn't do it in original shape. He munched up 2 blanks trying. I'll be cutting down at the tail 7" or 170mm. And probably take a cm off the width and thickness.

If you want I can model a board in Akushaper for you and send the file. You can get it machined locally. It's easy to do the finish shaping with 120g sand paper. Pm me with what you are looking for.

78kg..... Note we are discussing pocket boards for hydrofoils. They are not even touching the water for 95% of the ride time.

My question this time , is about volume ; how much extra volume does a 91kg guy
like me , need to keep me on plane for that other (5%) of the time ?

The unshaped blanks weigh 1035-975 g. 23 liters according to akushaper. That's 43kg/m3 if I'm doing the math right. Including the stringer tho. That's 2,6 lb / ft2. So without stringer guessing it's 2lb foam.

I'm still touching down on port tack gybe, and still a noob, so this first pocket is a " beginners pocket". Shaed it up today. probably still 20+ liters.
