Gong parts for Homebuilds

Postby faklord » Fri Oct 12, 2018 8:24 pm

This is just a pointer towards some potentially useful and relatively low cost parts for Home builders:

Masts: https://gongsupshop.com/epages/box1707. ... elagesMats
Plate Mount: https://gongsupshop.com/epages/box1707. ... LLTOPPLATE
Track installation block: https://gongsupshop.com/epages/box1707. ... USTRACKBOX

Masts are a bit on the heavy side 1.7kg for 90cm (actually 92cm) and the mounting holes do not run through the full-length, so not easy to cut down.

Their kites are a pretty good price too. I've got their Strutless 9m and it does the job on a foil.

Hi! Have you build a board using the trackbox? If so, any tips?

How did you guess that ? A screwdriver in the screw hole ?

Interesting,

so the strutless is not really a strutless. Nice concept. How does it work with and without the 'strut'? The plastic would not provide enough support or rigidity tho...

There is no need to cut the masts as they come in 45, 65, 80 and 90 cm lengths.
