Amazing day on the lake!! Sunny and warm.
VERY light wind but we made it work. Probably blew steady 12-15km/hr all day. Lots of big foils out cruising, a few small jumps and transitions. Mostly just a nice day to get out and enjoy the nice warm weather, do a few reaches, eat a burger, BS with your pals in the sun.
By about 12:00 the snow had softened up and was a pleasure to ride on. Got so warm in the afternoon I threw my jacket and gloves in the truck and went cruising in a t-shirt.
Lots of curious neewbs showed up, had 3 or 4 trainer kites going all day and Mike from flysurfer.ca pulled out a bunch of Vodoos and a big Titan to demo.
Looks like about the same forecast for tomorrow. Won't be much wind but a great excuse to get out of the city and enjoy the sun.

I really liked the Voodoo! I got a chance to fly a 10m a few months ago when they were first released in about 22-27 knot wind on the snow.
First impression - really fast, really stable and huge windrange.
I have never personally flown an Arc but I assume that the stability of the Voodoo has to be approaching that of an Arc. The kite will never fall out of the sky. Unlike most bridled foils, if tension is lost on the lines the kite holds its shape and simply falls gently backwards in the window.
Performance wise it reminded me of a medium aspect inflatable, something like an Ocean Rodeo Bronco 12m. The kite is really quick and fast turning. I had some nice high jumps but nothing too floaty. I have seen some other guys have some really floaty jumps on the kite so it may be my technique.
I found the bar pressure to be alot lighter than to what I am acustomed. When hit with a gust I could hardly feel it in the bar and had to conciously think about depowering the kite, normally you would expect the bar to be pulled away from you. This was probably a function of how the kite was trimmed. Apparently the bar pressure can be adjusted by playing with the WAC system, by moving a few knots around you can really change the character of the kite to suit your style.
I would reccomend the Voodoo to anyone. Great all around kite.
