66one full comp helmet, Dianese safety jacket, dirtsurfer gloves/wristguards and padded shorts, Roach Downhill combo knee and shin guards.
Use any comination of the above for either kite traction of straight downhill riding and am still in pretty good shape after some BIG splats, no holes or scars to show off! All lightweight and not restrictive, the dirtsurfer wristguard gloves are really excellent in fact the whole lot is really excellent.
Nuff said tried loads of different stuff but this lot suits me.

All Pro-Tec gear: Helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads. I also wear gloves, but that's just to keep from getting blisters. I suppose if I find I need more after some hard knocks, then I'll upgrade.

I was going to buy the moto-X chest+shoulder+arm protection for kitegroundboarding but was told the chest pro was used mainly to protect against flying rocks in moto-X. Do you find it that useful? Any stories of how it may have saved you from a paticular injury? All that extra equipment looks pretty hot in the summer and it isn't cheap, but if it works then it may be worth it. If not, I am saving my cash and working to fight heat stroke.
