Well, kite skiing is not paragliding. The kite never goes high.

Agreed that they are not the same, but the paragliding history is a proxy for how the Grand Teton National Park management reacts to new "extreme" sports...also, one ranger told us that if you jump with a snowkite, when your feet are off th eground that is considered "non-motorized flight" when in the park. This is a different view that other national parks...too bad we don't have consistency amongst NATIONAL parns...

aren't you guys asking for this?

you organsied event last year, this year, trying to "promote" the sport...
just keep it quiet, enjoy the sport. you won't became rich from selling 3 kites a year, just a headache. what did you expect from authorities? embrace you?

Actually, I'm just a kiter...I wasn't here for the event last year, I wasn't involved with event organization, I don't sell gear, I'm not sponsored, I don't teach, just trying to kite and have fun and help others maintain access to federal lands...
