Just back from the Kite Trade Show in Primm NV. We arrived to find nearly a foot of water on Ivenpah Dry Lake...needless to say, it wasn't very "dry"! At one point we even considered kitesurfing on it but decided against it remembering the nasty, sticky, staining mud so many of us waded through at SBBB last April. Fortunately the Coreylamma tells us that this time of year it should only take a couple of weeks before it is ridable again. We then journeyed a bit north to spend the weekend snowkiting at Skyline UT. This is truly a world class riding location and if you get the chance to go, jump on it! The wind reminds me of an onshore in Galveston. Giant, wide open flats, powder filled valleys and our favorite, a mountain to huck off of! We got a chance to put the Venoms to the test. Aaron and I both agreed that this is the sickest kite we have ever flown...can't wait to get it on the water this spring!
