Lake Sunapee, NH

Anyone kiteski or skate at Lake Sunapee, NH? I was thinking about going up this Sunday if wind conditions look good. Ice reports from the iceboaters look good.

Anyone know of any other areas within a 2 hour drive from Boston that might be better?

We have four groups of Kite Snowboarders going out this weekend. Should be a 20 kiters in total hitting spots as far as 2 hours from Boston and as close as 40 minutes to Boston.

Give the shop a call and we'll give you the 411: 978-388-8974

I kited at Sunapes a few times last year. The wind can be quite turbulent. You have to stay in the middle of the lake. Launch from the park across form the entrance to the ski area.

I here you can count on others kiters on Quaboag pond any day the conditions are good. :thumb: It's about 60 miles west of Boston. Post here or on Powerline's forum if you're heading out.

On Wwinds the state park is gusty - one spot that I have tried is going out from blodgetts landing or Soonipi beach - seems to work well on anything west or NW.
