Light air means 24.5 mph takes week and win Kiteworld Mag

Postby stormboarding » Mon Feb 07, 2005 9:45 pm

Light air seems to have had riders just cruising or getting out the big kites and working on jumps. This week's speed ranking winner is Barclay Morris who went 24.5 mph on his skis with a 9.5m Frenzy over slush and ice. He is a new snowkiter and it was his first day on the snow with the big kite. It was Sunday on Shelburne Pond in VT and we had about 8-10 mph of breeze occasionally gusting to 12 max.

Barclay wins a Dakine Hip Pack. See the whole list at http://www.stormboarding.com/pages/2/index.htm

Win a subscription to Kiteworld Magazine: Kiteworld Magazine is psyched to see snowkiters going fast and has offered up a year's subscription to the speediest of the months of Feburary and March. Check out their latest issue featuring some nice photos of snowkiting in Norway.

And next week's winner will be sporting a Peter Lynn T.

Think snow and breeze,
