Ya me too! I have been eyeballing these volcanos for a long time. From what I have found out is the wind tends to wrap around the mountain. I think it would take a good thermal day to climb up. I have sleds and lots of experience. lets rally!

April and May are good months for snowkiting on Shasta or other PNW volcanoes. I have snowkited on Mt. Shasta a few times along with Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Broken Top, and Mt. St. Helens. As mentioned, 2014 might not be the year because of the extreme low snowpack. It needs to snow a lot for the next few months to "fill-in". All the mountains mentioned above are easily accessed except for Adams, where a sled would be useful. Please know the rules - I read of someone that was fined a very LARGE amount of money for riding a snowmobile in a designated wilderness area. Have FUN and see you out there.
