Bobalooie,

How close does the Northern Chateau Cam line up with the snow amount at Hanno's ? From the Cam they look to have 3 feet or so.

Katama the webcam is about 10 miles west and just south of where hannos is. Looking at snow cover maps hannos is right on the edge of the heavy snow. My guess is still probably around 2 feet.
The honeyville spots are more centered in the heavy snow bands.

I use this for my snow cover and weather obs.

Zoom in just east of lake ontario. South of Watertown is Adams Center. 177 goes east from here.
Click on the snowflake in quick picks
Center around rt 177. Honeyville spots are inbetween Rodman and Adams center. Hannos is west of rt 12 about 2 miles. There is a joggle in the road at west line road. The field is right there.

Hi
I wish i could find that Holey Grail of a site. Lake Effict snow is very flukey where it goes and most site are very general. I just try to go to as many sites as i can and also talk to locals and ask what did they get. Jan :?:

Syracuse is aproaching record snowfall for december and we are allready at 1/2 the avg yearly snowfall. I just got a snowmobile trail map and am going to check the trails that pass thru some of the largest open areas.I'm guessing permision to fly should be easy , I'll post any success stories.
It's not Tug Hill but it is their snow!

Good thinking! I also asked around and have permission to kite in some giant potato fields just north of Saranac Lake. If you don't mind the cold, it's looks like a great place! I will check it out after Christmas...

Cheers!
