I have received reports from northern Sweden that the northern Baltic Sea is a perfect playground right now. Cold temperature and little snow. Photo from two days ago in LuleƄ:
This means that this is the sport to do at the moment:
Sorry, not really snow, not really land, and not really kite. This is a snow/land kiting forum, but anyway, I thought I should share...
Over here you can buy "Swedish touring skates" in any sports shop. They mostly come with skate-touring binding, but you can buy them without binding to mount your binding of choice. Nowadays also Dutch skate manufacturers have this kind of skates, not only Swedish manufacturers. Here are a few skates without binding: http://www.excelsior.se/?cat_id=66 Note that many tour skates "edge out" when edging hard during sailing, so you loose the grip and fall. Therefore high skates are good if you sail aggressively. Here's a page on how to make your own skates: http://www.sssk.se/segel/utrustning.htm Sorry, only in Swedish, but there are some pictures.
