Finally, a winter kite session! For the past few weeks all of my kite sessions here in Montana (and the Big Horns of Wyoming) have been warm weather: 35, 40, even 45 degree days. Yes, the corn snow was nice and carvable but I really had no sessions with deep, dry pow that screamed “Winter Is Here!”
This afternoon everything changed. Strong east winds, 17 degrees F and lots of pow. It finally felt like a winter day of snowkiting. All across Montana, Idaho and Wyoming the winds and snows of winter have taken hold. Point your compass in any direction and you can find white and windy.
It’s on!
See ya out there,
Noah
