hey bro,

I have never seen an outlaw let alone flown one! but i here they are in between frenzy and manta for performance.

I have flown the 2011 frenzies on land on a landboard

7m in 25-40 knots
9m, 11m in 16-18 knots
13m in 5 knots

the 11m in noticably slower than the 9m. maybe 20-30%? i think yourd fine the 9m fyx would be a fairer comparasine to your 8m outlaw.

I can confirm they are stable indeed and with easy and generous lift. i flew the 7m in insane conditions 40 knot squalls, lulls torrential, rain, gusty as shit and it did a very good job. it felt like the stability and ease of flying of the access with the added benifit of lift on tap. it also flew well trimmed!

the 9m for me was the magic size it boosted well in the 16-18 knots i flew it in and was as quick as my inflatables... but with the added benefit of battery smoother touch downs the foils give.....

Windrupted,

I am Kenny. I did drop 40 feet while flying a Flysurfer Speed 3 19m. It was due to a manufacturing oversight. The rivets were not installed on the bar. I guess you just forgot to mention that Wayne Phillips dropped 50 feet while using an Ozone bar. The bar end came off. There is an inherent danger gliding with ANY kite. Some of the best snowkiters use kites other than Ozone, Alex Petersen and Jake Buzianis come to mind.

Back to the question - does the new Frenzy turn better than the Outlaw. The answer is yes. Flysurfer needs to put some more development into the Outlaw. The Frenzy is a better kite.

For gliding, the Flysurfer Speed 19 or 21m are just plain awesome. They are like flying a paraglider. It is really a different experience using one of these big kites on the snow. You can ride deep pow on the light wind days. Glides are slower, more controlled and floaty. For higher wind, I would honestly rather be on my Ozone Zephr or Edge. I like the stability of an LEI in strong mountain winds.

Not from where I'm looking. The 2011 HQ Montana VI is more powerful and turns faster......

I now have many sessions on my Outlaw 10m and I can't say if it is better than the 2011 Frenzy but it really is a very fun and smooth kite. For me it is way better than my previous Frenzy 2010.

We went to a demo ride last week-end where we could try all kinds of kite and everyone that tried the Outlaw loved it. What came back the most was how easy it was to fly that kite.

I weigh 170 lbs and I can ride it from about 8 or 9 knots to about 27 knots. Last week I rode it for 3 hours in wind ranging from 20 to 25 knots and the kite was really smooth. It jumps well and has some pretty nice hangtime and some decent lift. The tips of the wing never ever collapse. I also never had a bowtie. The speed of the kite is really fast for a foil. In 25 knots I just had to trim it a little bit and even trimmed it still flew very well.

It is the most fun Foil that I have ever ridden in my life. I don't regret my purchase a single bit.
