New snowkite boards

Has anyone been able to find more info on the web for either the Nobile snowkite board or the new Empire board from Cabrinha?

Yeah I know its not necessary, but the sidecut on my current snowboard is too much, every time I go upwind I end up making a huge circle. So long story short, I've been saving all summer and know I'm getting a board, just haven't found one to buy yet.

Andrew at POWERLINESPORTS.COM has a bunch in his shop I was looking at them yesterday and with the binding that are rear entry FLOW bindings with Cabrinha logos they are looking might sweet!!!

Will post some info / a review once I've had it on the snow. Was thinking of hitting Skyline in a bit which would be a perfect opp to get the board wet.

Less sidecuts matter more than you believe. I've been riding the Nobile board since last season and I've been pretty much addicted to have low sidecuts. Specially when you're riding fast upwind, you'll feel it more comfortable with this board.

I bet I could delaminate one of these Snow kiteboards just as fast as a regular snowboards. I wonder how their warranties are, I wonder if the shop would exchange boards more than once in a season

I don't think that the Nobile will fail faster than other boards. I think it will last longer do to the decreased side cut which puts more edge on the ice than a normal board. I don't know the details on the warranty but my guess it that its decent as long as your not kitelooping with the board.

I'm stoked to have a board that is extra wide and long. No more toe-ing out when carving hard this season. I have mine on order and I can't wait until it comes in.

I think the delam issue is an issue as we edge so hard compared to normal boarders. I don't think the flatter sr will change that.
So a really good edge construction will be the winner. I have seen every board here with big guys trashed after a few nasty icy days. In good snow then a plank works but on crusty broken glass conditions it is another story. I hope we dont have much of that this year!
The sidewall boards seem to do better but I think this is due poor cap bonding overlap. A cap board should do just as well, we will see;)
