I'm relatively new to kiting and have a cirrus pro 4.0m kite.

a friend of mine suggested i should try flying it from a bar aswel as from handles so i'm wondering what type of bar would be best.

after looking on the net i realise that there are different lengths and line set ups on bars. what are the differences and which should i go for?

You have a 4 line kite (not a depower), so you have to use a bar which is ment to modificate a 4 line kite, which is originaly sold with handles.
There are 2 ranges:
simple and cheap: for trainer kites, no chicken loop, only kite killer
advanced, expensive: kite should fly even better than with handles (Ozone Turbo bar for instance- I'm waiting to reiceve it in a couple of days)

this Turbo bar and similar come without lines, not so sure for ordinary 4 line kite bar. (If the description is talking about depower straps or clits, then you are obviously looking at a wrong bar. It's for depowerable kite)
