In the midst of a full day of gale force dumpage, we sledded over Red Rock Pass and made our way across Alaska Basin and up to Deer Mountain. The boondocking was insane. With a nearly 2000 vertical foot climb from the Basin, the powder got deeper and deeper the higher we went. Near whiteout conditions all day. Up on Deer the kiting was sick! Deep trenches by both skis and sleds. Pretty intense keeping your sense of the lay of the land. No kite photos, just a couple of Archer in the pow.
See ya out there,
Noah
