Spring is definitely here. Too early? Most of the low-altitude snow is going or gone. Even Lizard Head is melting snow cones. I was water-skiing across the small creek in the middle on Sunday! Good thing is that the backcountry avy danger is dropping. Time to get out there for some wild corn kiting up high!

From Mar 25-30 Colorado tour
Creede: Overall: Lots of snow up high in this area. lots of terrain possibilities. Rito Hondo is rapidly rotting out, but should still be marginally ridable for a while. Snow Mesa: still awesome, snow is still in good condition, coverage is still >90%, access trail is in OK condition... melted out in spots.
San Juans: Overall: also lots of snow... but melting fast, and pretty rotted out. We spent a couple days on Molas pass, and got very little wind.
Summit County - East: Lake Dillon looks questionable, most terrain up high is bare. We explored Guenella pass: awesome spot, but too many bushes, not enough snow.
S Colorado-Santa Fe: seemingly all dry ground! - Kevin
