Haugastol World Speed Challenge 2012 - Day 1

Here we are at Haugastol the paradise of Snowkiting for this International Speed event!
From 8H30 to 9H30 more than Twenty riders went to inscribe to fight against the time Keeping on the Snow ! In middle of them we can find the 2 World Water Speed champions: Charlotte Consorti and Alex Caisergues.

The Race meeting start just after the registration with the Race Director Matthias CHARTON, He said that due to the high falls of snow (more than 1 m) the plateau is closed.
Riders will have to go on the spot to retreat to Lillevann. The run will be 300 m, will remain open for more than 3 h, the best time will be taken into account.

Around 11P.m. The Race Director opens the run, the changing wind direction; meaning the course needed to be change at supper fast speed the angle of departure and it is restart to more than 3 h of speed event.

Alex Robin the small hot frenchie like a potato opens the ball followed by Norwegians, Switzerland, Danish…….

Visibility conditions are difficult, the snow falls in large flakes, we have a good established 15 knots and its almost the least 20 d ° in felt.

Our water boys and girl enjoy a lot joy and looks like to take full advantage of this new adventure.
We have even the joy to attend run in tandem signed Alex Robin and bib 9 attached behind him in snowboard! The results of the day are:
