Just putting the word out that the Skyline Snowkite Masters will take place the first weekend in February, celebrating an older format... No entry Fees, No Competition, Just a Fun for All Freeride Rally, inviting all riders to enjoy the mountain with like minded friends.

We believe that instead of entry fees, you should put your hard earned cash towards fuel for the road trip, lodging, and apres' kite beverages at the local watering hole. You can expect prizes and some adventurous challenges along with live music and kite-minded entertainment each night. Sponsors from leading Kite Brands have kicked in to provide free lunch on the hill each day, and some killer prizes. This is a great opportunity to demo new 2012 gear as well, riding side by side with manufacturer reps.

Bring your Mountain Riding Mindset to Skyline for the annual gathering... and if you cannot make it, please road trip somewhere to enjoy mountain freeride kiting. Jackson Hole Kiters are hosting a rally the week before in Wyoming on January 27-29.... and Montana Kite Sports is hosting their annual Snowkite Rodeo later in February on the 17-20th during Presidents Day weekend. Get out and ride the Rocky Mountains this winter... FREE RIDE that is.

It has been a really bad year for snow. The year started out great in late November/early December and then no snow for weeks on end. We had a little snow last Saturday, but it is pretty sorry up there. We have a high pressure ridge that keeps forming over the area causing storms to split or blow over without depositing much snow.

Strawberry is not open yet due to lack of snow. One really big storm could change everything, so we are hoping...

No Guys for real The Skyline event is the premier snowkite event of the season. I have Had more fun there then any other event and the terrain is just incredible. We will be pulling into town thursday hopefully will get some riding in the afternoon. Wind permitting ,I will also be up on the hill friday just riding and hanging out if anyone wants to come play with some Flysurfer Kites! And Of course we will be there through the entire event for demo and maybe some racing!! I am really excited to see all my Utah Friends!!!! later Ted B

Usually try to go every year, but with the snow conditions, its difficult to warrant the cost of traveling...

The Snowkite Masters is less than a week away, and the snow is looking awesome! It's been snowing on the mountain the last 2 days, I am heading up this afternoon and will have fresh pics of the snow.

I can't wait to see all my Snowkite friends, it's been too long.
