Another day of chasing the wind brought my kite bud, Archer, and I back to Mount Haggin Wednesday. A shot of fresh snow overnight quickly turned to spring corn as the sun baked down on the snowpack. We ripped terrain all day and savored the sweet boosting and smooth buttery hills at Haggin. It was another great day of Montana snow.
This boost of mine is too funny not to post:
I sent it hard, got decent height and as I descended it just felt right to throw a loop in. However, I was a moment late on my timing and the kite just did not give me the love I need for a feathery landing. I felt like an ostrich when I hit the snow and came up laughing so hard because it really was funny!!!
After kiting until sunset we descended to Fairmont Hot Springs, soaked out our battle wounds and then hit Muzz and Stan’s Freeway Tavern in Butte for pub grub, dollar beers and a midnight return to home in Bozeman. I love these long spring days!
Thanks for reading and see ya out there,
Noah
