Care to comment on how those Ikons compare to the Ozones you used to fly and is each size kite totally different in terms of A/R and performance? I notice that each kite size has a different name and description.
Kiting on sand is super fun.... Awesome training for the winter!
The kites are to me known for the following.
8m Lazy:
Very stable. No wing tip folding. Very fast shut down with some flutter but not much after release is pulled. Kinda like a super Access.
10m Patrol:
So far my favorite kite. Fast and powerful a kite that may be the inbetween of the Frenzy and Manta..... Or Montana - Matrix.
Complex compound pulley of 4:2:1 on each bridle makes for nice light bar pressure.
12m Rafael:
Super smooth. Reminds me of the 15m Manta 2 with out the drag...
Ill be glad to talk more about kites just on me or better yet email me.
The ikon kites can be purchased through me at the school I run.
All the kites seem to be really good for anyone learning the art of snowkiting. Yet the kites gave room to let you grow into whatever mountain/ freestyle kiting you can imagine.
Students that I have worked with have had very good feedback about the 8 & 10m kites as they respond fast but predictably.
They are a little less expensive then some kites out there and as Ikon grows... So do the potential of what their kites can do.
That looks fun! There are some dunes near me and I wonder if they would be good. Does the sand have to be hard or is kiting in deep sand possible? Nice shots!
