The Mandarin: HQ Montana VIII 8m in strong wind

Postby flyvan » Sat Mar 08, 2014 11:45 am

New video about M8 8m in about 35knots.

also with quite all the trim closed it was very stable (the wind was pretty sane not too gusty) and never made some joke. very comfortable and trusty.
I was impressed by the range of wind it can handle... from 10knots to I suppose 40knots (I had still 5-7cm of trim available... it's enormous). Off course in 40 knots it's really limit and one mistake will be hard to recover... but I only speak about limit of the kite not concerning the rider. I don't want to push anyone to fly a 8m kite in 40knots... only saying it's possible, but can be dangerous.
my weight is about 67kg + light equipment.

 :bye:
