Ice!

Postby SaulOhio » Mon Mar 17, 2014 4:18 pm

Had a great time out on the ice at Presque Isle. And I'm not the only one.

Fairly smooth, clean ice, with only a few holes to watch out for. But good thing I was wearing my drysuit!

This is also a great place if you are a bird watcher. I even saw a bald eagle, but by the time I grabbed my camera, it had gone. It grabbed a fish out of an opening in the ice and was probably off to eat supper at its nest.

Ice boats were out in force, and there was a guy with a rig for a windsurfer sail on skis.
