As all my friends know, chasing the wind is both planning and good luck. We definitely have the planning part down, however the luck can be sometime fickle.
Despite massive high pressure on Sunday, Laurel, Jenkins and I pulled off an improbable day of wind, powder and sunshine at Big Hole Pass.
I hit the N side first on my 15m Chrono and then joined my friends on the S side at the first ramp. It was too light there to glide so we mowed the pow as best we could. My first session there was on the 15 Summit Ultralight with a finishing sess back on the Chrono.
Afterwards, it was down to Jackson, MT for prime rib at Rose’s Cantina (outstanding!!!), icy mules at the Jackson Hot Springs Lodge and a long soak in the 104 degrees F springs.
Cheers to the Big Hole!
