Rarely ever get chased. Although I was once savagely pulled out of the buggy ( over the headstock! ) in high wind while stationary. Made the mistake of taking my eye off the kite while trying to fend off a little doggy.
I flew through the air and got the wind knocked out of me. The owners said nothing and continued walking on by.
My worst dog related kite experience was in the park and being dragged through a fresh pile of steaming shit. I was smeared head to toe and had to drive 30 minutes home with nothing but pure f***king stink.

Maybe the poo lubricated you so you slid accross the ground better instead of getting scrapped up.

Yes, it did help with the sliding. The wet grass also helped. I achieved a record distance from the car before coming to a complete stop. It was a walk of shame like no other.
Dog pissed on my board after giving me a proper dirty look. Fecker.
Running my lines out on a separate occasion found they’d picked up a clump of dog shit but too late to avoid running my hand though it. Another fecker.
It happens to me now and then. They mostly just want to play, so there's nothing to be worried about. And if they did get aggressive, I am sure I could get away from them.
