Howdie folks,

Lots o discussion and debate regarding transportation options.

I am a kitesurfer with a fondness for snowkiting and NOW I can't wait for those in between seasons.

I like mountain boarding - easy freestyle stuff. But the dirtsurfer goes like 100mph and you can carve and swoop big beautiful turns. I can spend hours weaving in and out of the farmers hay bails. Dirtsurfer will go places the mountain board would not have a chance in hell. In fact how many manicured locations are there - not many!

The problem is they are Crazy expensive. You can buy a decent mountain bike for that money. I would suggest you look at one and build your own - it ain't rocket science!

They are a wee bit cumbersome at first so find a big ass field.

I am probably the only one in north america with a motor on the flexi Deck (for those non wind days) it runs about 25km/hr. and the battery lasts about an hour.

See ya

Well, I dont know about a flexideck, but I can assure you that you arent the only one with a motorized board. I have an official and original DirtSurfer*trademark* myself that i enjoy the hell out of as well. Doesnt do 100, more like 25mph, but it's still a cool toy.

You can watch an old photojam of it here...

You can check them out on this page...

And you can find videos of them in use at http://www.viza.com

NONE of the guys in the videos have the ballz to ride them like we do, but you can get the gist of it.
