The Gin YOZ is something like both of all.
It is a high performance kite with a low aspect ratio. It will not have the upwind performance of a Libre Bora, but I think its enough.
It has much power, and is the most stable power kite I ever held in my hands.
You can park it inside the window where ever you like. I really like that wing !
It is very easy to fly, likes to turn and is very fast for its AR and power.

But the trimming is like on a High Performance kite.

The Brakes are mainly used for steering. If you pull on both brakes, the power will increase just a little, like on a High Performance kite. You can not compare it to a JOJO ET, with its wide power range.

The next bigger sizes will come in the middle of Februar. There will be 8.5 and 10.8 squaremeters.
The kite is as stable as I will use it on water the next season.

Look at the price, you can get a 11 squaremeters kite for 1009,- Swiss franks, that is something around 720 Euros.

Where do you get a kite of this size for that price. And the kite comes with a multifunctional back pack - state of the art.

Greetings

Manfred

Yep!
Still considering your bar, but got other stuff to burn my mad-money on at the moment.

nice job.
I like it. A step up I think from the original idea of a "geometric effects" bar.

Q:
I tend do ride ditches a lot. That is upwind on the flats and "carving" on the way down through the ditch(think 1/2 pipe). To do this on my current bar I roll it to apply some breaks for the downwind leg. This gives me a nice steady pull. When I hit the bottom I roll the bar out and the kite points upwind again.
Does your system allow for some means of fixing the AOA/breaks?

If you guys have not tried the spider bar concept you are missing out on a revolution.

It is simply FANTASTIC to fly with. I use a 7 m^2 closed cell foil from the paraglider manufacturer "Aeros" . It is realy a clone of the old Advance Rhea. When you fly sheeted out the steering is smooth as soft for cruising as it is flown only on the front lines. When you pull the bar towards you the brakes are progressivly activated and the kite turns superfast. If the kite is on the nose on the ground you just pull the bar towards you and it will back up in the air then just make a turn in the desired direction. :D :D :D

Not to mension the comfort of using a stiff bar instead of the modulus bar (old Advance type) that was provided with the kite. Especially if you are a short person (shorter arms!). My wife had problems reaching the modulus bar in the turns because the modulus bar is so wide. That problem is not an issue anymore.

I will never use anything else.

Try it out if you get a chance. You will not be desipointed.

This "review" is for use with foils. I have never flown LEI so I have no experience in that area.

/Urban.

PS. sorry for some misspelling DS.
