12 Speedair to big for snowkiting

HEllO

Can I ask something. Is the Speedair size 12 from Flysurfer maybe to big for snow - and Mountainboard-Kiting (weight ~70 kg). what to you think? Greetings Marc

yeah take it out in at least 20 knots!

Don't dare take it out in that kind of wind. The Speedair 12 was my first kite. I eventually traded it for the 9.3 and 16.5 warriors.

The SA doesn't have enough depower in my opinion for its size and therefore will not be as forgiving on land/snow in the event that you fall. It also isn't as stable as the warriors and more prone to collapsing and folding.

Remember... snow offers less resistance than water therefore you don't require as much kite as you're used to.

Use it in winds up to 15knts... If you want to be more daring remember to sign your organ donor card.

yeh i'd favour the not enough depower school of thought.

I tried my speed air at col du Lautaret last year. It was good to climb the slope but I had to fold it and ski down to come back because it was too big for going down safely
