Hey All
Anybody doing any snow kiting on XC touring skis? My most accessible spot is a plateau at the top of a cross-country skiing resort. About 1.5-2 hours ski up through trees and stuff.
All I intend to do is a bit of sliding about the mountain top using kite power. No jumps or radical manouvers.
My skis are an old set of Swallows, single-camber, metal edge, cut base.
Thanks
Greg

That's no problem! Touring skis seem to be much better for your purpose than alpine skis. When the wind stops you can just put the kite in the backpack and enjoy the rest of the trip! I guess you can use about anything with a kite, but metal edge is reccomended when the snow is hard/icy.
